Introducing… Phil Hourigan

Phil is an articulate host who will apply the gloss to your evening – demonstrating a particular talent for interviewing guests and unearthing stories with probing questions. Phil is a meticulous researcher and has an engaging style, blending dry humour with empathy and perfect timing for best effect.

He has worked with an array of Footballers, Managers and Cricketers. Guests have included MBE’s, OBE’s, CBE’s and even MP’s!

Events have ranged from business dinners, annual football evenings to Supporters’Association gatherings and fundraisers.

Phil’s versatility has brought engagements from Sunderland AFC, Sunderland AFC Foundation of Light, North East Chamber of Commerce, several cricket clubs and many more local league football clubs. In March 2018 Phil hosted the North East Football Writers Awards at Ramside Hall Hotel.

Although a lifetime of supporting Sunderland perhaps brings invaluable experience and perspective, his skills have been deployed in hosting stars of several football clubs (including Newcastle United) and other sporting disciplines. The skills are transferrable, the knowledge of other subjects can be acquired.
